KARAKIA TIMATANGA

The following prayer asks GOD to bless everyone who has gathered. The

prayer also asks that the families that are still at home be looked after as well as

those who are sick, poor and grieving.

E te Matua kaha rawa, ka inoi ki a koe

Kia Manaakitia mai mātou i tēnei rā/ata/ahiahi/pō

Kia manaakitia o mātou whanau

Kei ngā kāinga maha.

Manaakitia te hunga e māuiui ana, e rawakore

ana, e pani ana

Ūhia mai ō tōmairangi atawhai

Ki runga i a mātou katoa I tēnei rā/ata/ahiahi/pō

Korōriatia ki tō ingoa tapu

Our heavenly FATHER we pray to you to look after

us this day/morning/afternoon/night

Please look after our families in our many homes

Look after those who are sick, poor, and grieving

Cover us all the day with your rays of love

Glory to your sacred name

To the GOD of the multitudes, we thank you for the

opportunity given to us to gather together

Guide us so we do what is correct and true

Send your holy spirit to nurture, guide and protect us.

We bow before you in humility

We give this prayer in the name of our saviour
