Fitness
Kia ora everyone,
I've been extremely impressed with the attitude that you've been building up over the last few weeks in regards to fitness. Here's a video of someone really trying to challenge themselves in their fitness. You can try some of these exercises at home if you want to!

Te Kei a te Kura (Mirrored)
Kia ora everyone,
This is an old video that has been altered to help our tamariki learn our school song "Te Kei a te Kura". It has been flipped around so that the children can mirror the actions from the video and be on the correct side. The words with their translation are below.

Indeed, stand true! Stand true!
My shelter from the storm!
North Street SchoolI dwell within the nurture of North St School
Knowledge is the reason for which we strive
The first of our inherent values is Respect for one another
The second is to seek Excellence – to always set sights high
Third is Acceptance of each other’s differences
Fourthly, is to allow a place where Creativity is free to flourish
Fifth, is Honesty, that we may trust one another
These are the pillars of our school, our values
to be modeled by student and staff alike
Let this gathering of the many be enveloped
in the unity of one big family
“Learn for Tomorrow”, boys and girls
“Learn for Tomorrow”, boys and girls
Indeed, stand true! Stand true!
My shelter from the storm!
North Street School
stand forever!
Aue hi!

Rippa Rugby Fun
Rippa Rugby Fun
On Rapare in the afternoon we went on to the Nss field
With room 12.We played lots of games like Rippa Rugby and some more things we went to have fun and some of my friends were in my team the yellow team with me.
First we went to the field with room 12.We learnt some new skills like how to tackle. It was cool because Teegan and I were buddies. We had to try to get the other person's tags. Then we played a game when we had to try to get the green and white teams tags. After that we played a game called last man standing, it was fun.I didn't win but it was fun.I wanted to win so bad but I didn’t ,I don’t care so much any more. Finally after a lot of practice we played a game it was fun! At the end of practice we went back to class.
It was so cool.

RIPPA RUGBY
RIPPA RUGBY. On Thursday room 14 and room 12 went on the backfield to play rippa rugby. First We started to play a passing game. So I quickly passed the ball to my teammate to win. But they won but we tried our best. Lastly we played some rippa. We were playing against the green. We got the ball and Then we ran around. The ball was passed between our teammates and with no sweat Petrus gotta try!. We got 2 more tries then the other team came on to replace as cause of the other team being better than them. We watched them getting better and better and better so we cheered for the team that was losing. It was an intense game. After the last game we said thank you to the sport manawatu guy and happily went back to class.
RIPPA RUGBY
On Thursday the 9th of Feburary room 14 and room 12 played Rippa Rugby on the field at north street school
First we practised to pass the ball and we had relays to practise running with the ball.It was awesome because we got to do a lot of running.
We played a lot of awesome games there was a square and you had to rip everyone else’s tags off.
Lastly we had a good game of rippa rugby i side stepped everyone to score a try there was three groups yellow white and green the green and the yellow team lost’s
RIPPA RUBY
On Thursday the class played Rippa Ruby. Room 13 played Rippa Ruby with us and the teams were yellow, green and white. I was in the yellow team. We played team Rippa. Team Rippa is a game where all of your team takes off the rippers from the other team. There is another game. It is called last man standing. It is like team rippa but there are no teams,it is fun to play. The game but when all of your tags are gone, you have to sit down. This is the last game this game is fun. You go into twos or threes and you try to take there tags off. It is really really hard to get them off because you have to be fast. So you can get there tags off. It was really fun playing
