Oh ye of little faith Walk forth with ease upon the great ocean Though the seas may roar And the oceanic expanse rage You will remain afloat For you command a vessel that shall never be overturned nor unsteadied You will remain afloat Lightning may flash Illuminating the heavens above Sending rolling thunder below Resounding, trembling Though overcome with fear Ascend Prevail Lead Sing! Ūhia mai ō tōmairangi atawhai
Ki runga i a mātou katoa I tēnei rā/ata/ahiahi/pō

Our heavenly FATHER we pray to you to look after

Please look after our families in our many homes
Look after those who are sick, poor, and grieving
Cover us all the day with your rays of love
Glory to your sacred name
Amen

E TE ATUA KAHA RAWA
E te Atua kaha rawa o ngā mano,
Tēnei te whakamoemiti atu ki a koe
Mo tēnei huihuinga o mātou.
Arahina mai mātou
Kia ū ki te tika, ki te pono
Tukua mai tō wairua tapu
Hei manaaki, hei arahi, hei tiaki hoki i a mātou
Tēnei mātou e tūohu nei ki mua i tō aroaro
Ka tuku i tēnei inoi ki a koe
I runga i te ingoa tapu o tō mātou Kaiwhakaora a
Ihu Karaiti.
Āmine

To the GOD of the multitudes, we thank you for the
opportunity given to us to gather together
Guide us so we do what is correct and true
Send your holy spirit to nurture, guide and protect us.

It sings of the journey of Maniapoto, Kinohaku and Rongorito from their home, Ngaherenga. It also references the Te Nehenehenui boundary, and the lands inhereted by Turongo and Whatihua from their father, Tawhao.

Karakia

Kia hora te marino,
Kia whakapapa pounamu te moana,
Kia tere kārohirohi i mua i tou huarahi.

May calm be spread around you,
May the sea glisten like greenstone
And the shimmer of summer dance across your path.

From their marriage

near the hot springs at Okoroire
Due to the scent, he was named Raukawa.
